Listen to a cool song

You can embed MP3 files and play them on a wiki page.
Keep in mind, this is not true streaming audio, and the music file has to download into your PC. This is a small one, but a big one will take a few minutes to download before you can see the play button to click it. True streaming audio and video is a bit more complicated to work with, but there are some new websites that will host it for you.

You'll have to upload the file to your wiki first. Then use HTML code to "embed" it.

Trio from Brandenburg Concerto No. 1 - by Aubrey Brain

Here's the code

<embed src="http://newfaq.pbwiki.com/f/2-A.Brain_Bach.4th.mvmt.mp3" autostart="false" loop="false" width="300" height="42" controller="true" bgcolor="#FFFFFF"></embed>

When you are using the point and click editor, just choose the HTML plugin and paste this code into your page. Be sure to use the address (URL) of the file you want to play.

Did I mention Streaming Audio?
I found at least two sites that let you upload mp3 files and also provide a nice little plugins you can put on your site to stream it out. Here is an NCR broadcast about PBwiki frm Odeo.com and the other one is some heavy metal music from Goear.com. Once again, all you have to do is insert the code into your wiki page with the HTML plugin.

Some web services let you embed a player in your web pages as well.
This one is from http://indiehitz.net
